Disparity to Prosperity – A Success Story

Drupadbai Narayan Padde, a young widow, R/o Village Bamni, seemed to house all forms of hardship till late few months……. But not now!

Drupad, lost her husband at the age of 29 and was promptly returned to her parents along with the two young children.  She started to pull through, attending work on wages.  Though Landless, poor, and fragile…., this lady always nurtured a dream to see her kids grow well educated and prosper… just like any ‘Mother’ would.. God paid heed.

Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal identified Drupada as a beneficiary under the women empowerment activity, Watershed Development Project, Kandhar.  She was sent to Mudkhed for training on ‘Floriculture.’ With the help of the village Development Committee, the SSM arranged some piece of land for her to attempt floriculture.

The waste water of the village was allowed to divert to this field.  Soon…. She sent the first basket-full of blissful flowers to nearby city market.

Flowers brought all smiles in her life too. Earning rupees 200/- a day, she is able to provide an assured life to her children. She is Happy.

Seminar on Career Guidance

A seminar on Career Guidance was arranged here in Sainiki Vidyalay on 5th April.  Shri Atul Upadhya, the director of Vista Software company (Nagpur) guided the youth on various career opportunities.

He said, the youth are falling easy preys to the attractive advertisements of crash course coaching organizers. The youth blindly join the rat race, day dreaming a job with mouthful pay. Their parents even make all compromises to pay high fees for such classes.

Logically, the youth fail to realize their potential and try to walk in other shoes.  That ultimately ends up in a big disappointment.  If failed, either embrace death or fall to such an extent…. never to rise again. The Guest speaker insisted that the youth should live their own life and not others. They should choose the field of their own choice.  They should strive  to enrich their knowledge and do something creative.

Answering students’ queries in his humorous style, he won their hearts true!
